National Dog Show Team Stakes

We have received several enquiries regarding the team’s stakes and the criteria that will be used in judging this stakes class.

We asked our stakes judge, Beth Warman, to provide some commentary which is detailed below.

Although not included as a prerequisite of the show regulation I believe in keeping with the spirit of the NDS, Dogs NZ Premier Event, overall attention to detail can only enhance the event to showcase the "Breeders" whilst showcasing their Breed, and accompany a Team of consistency, of all things encompassing the essentials of "Breed Type"..

Breeders Team Stakes

Open to breeders of any one breed, three to a maximum of five dogs or bitches not necessarily owned by the breeder but must carry the one kennel name.

Any exhibit, over the age of seven years, need not have been entered in any breed class. One team from each group will go through to the final.

The other team members can be sorted out closer to the event.
